I have also purchased a brand new pvrhd for about $680 a cisco whe i got home and opened the box it was a used unit. so i when back to the store in short i returned to the same store tree times because,of the problems i was having accessing my many recordings i also bougth the 1 terrabyte memory extender from rogers at $382 now i'm having the same problems i called rogers many times and i keep geting so many different versions on what the problem is .i tried to saveme the rental but rogers soldme a lemon 3 times and one techtnician told me when you own your digital box even if it is a rogers product you will pay for a service call so iwhen back to renting Now i can't view my most recent recordings i have 166 recordings .I check the memory and it says that it is 2% full. But it also said that my recording space it's low ??????? So i have done the reboot and it works for about a few days then back to ### I will say this to anyone dont buy it save your self some $$$ the memory extender is a seagate external storage for dvr 1TB eSATA connection NO SATYSFACTION

I've got a court date to fight a parking ticket coming up on June 24. Also at the Markham Rd. courthouse, which is only a 5 minute walk from my house. My first argument will be that my Charter right to a speedy trial has been breached, as it will have been 17 months since the ticket; whether that works depends on the judge, it seems that sometimes as little as 8 months is enough, other times it has to be over a year and a half.

A clarification and apology is needed. I do have three cottages in my family (well, my in-laws). I do enjoy visiting them and being close to the water, but...the closest is about 900 kms away ! Not really what I had in mind when I wrote the blog, thinking of a weekend getaway.

I'm sure you've heard the term "renaissance man"? Just to give you one definition that I quickly looked up in Wiktionary - "a man with extraordinarily broad and comprehensive knowledge". As you noted at the end of your post, going through life with a pocket full of passions sounds like a pretty wonderful thing to me.

Really, really pleased you picked the Champion concert as best of 2009 - wow, that's quite a statement considering all the great shows you/we saw.

BTW - K'naan is one person really, that's his name - quite the history and story (with a little controversy) on him too ! I've downloaded his Dylan and Marley remixes he's done with J.Period - pretty interesting stuff - free download at www.jperiod.com/knaan.

Love the list and the descriptions really make me want to give a few of these another listen. Both Sticks 'n Stones and Kiss With A Fist came very, very close to being my #1 song in 2009. One of my faves, even if they're not my personal favourites, can appreciate why you chose them (especially with your great descriptions)...how could you forget your dog's favourite song on Florence and the Machine's album? As I recall, I made a comment about how I appreciated the large pieces of sage (as I moved them to the side of my plate) ;-)

I don't believe I said I didn't like gnocchi...I said I wasn't a big fan. I can take gnocchi or leave it...unless it's the one I had once in a restaurant and the sauce was to die for.

I stand by my comment. I thought you would like it and feel free to make it for our friends...maybe they would love it as much as you did.
